What do you think of the state of wrestling today? Compared to the 80’s & 90’s?

Marty Jannetty: Wrestling has changed to a more soap opera-ish product, but, it’s still the best entertaining thing on TV so…learn to live and love the changes…everything in life will always be a change..nothing, but MJ N D House will ever remain the same, and even old MJ has a few new wrinkles..

What do you think about TNA? Do you think it is or ever will be competition to WWE?

Marty Jannetty: Personally, I love the talent level they have..I enjoy knowing that there is another outlet for pro wrestlers other than WWE…but…nothing compares to WWE, in no way shape or form..and probably never will…

Speaking of other organizations… Wrestling Society X… What do you think? I think they have a good product… But I question their lifespan… Especially on a network like MTV… What are your thoughts?

Marty Jannetty: They have a great product??? I guess that’s a matter of opinion..they have great talents…but, what they are showing on TV, is just an updated version of the past products that failed like ECW…

Did you always want to be a wrestler growing up? If not, what did you want to be? Did you play other sports? Did you have dreams of those?

Marty Jannetty: I played football, wrestled and ran track in high school… played football and wrestled in college… I love both wrestling and football… well, I actually love all sports but those are my favorites.

How do you keep in shape? Do you still train for wrestling, or just in general now?

Marty Jannetty: I train like there is no tomorrow…it’s unorthodox, unique and down right insane….and thats why I’m in better condition at 40 something than most 20 something athletes..

Have you ever trained anyone for wrestling? Ever thought about opening a wrestling school of your own?

Marty Jannetty: I’ve trained a few people…one being Trenesha aka Jungle Fever on my myspace, which is myspace.com/rockermj and also my good friend and a great future prospect in WWE Bobby Sanford…also on myspace…I’ve lended a hand with a couple others who’ve been successful such as MVP from smackdown..and..Mustafa Shady from world wide professionals.

Do you still have thoughts about getting back in the spotlight? Back in the WWE or TNA? Or are you content with what you have accomplished in your career?

Marty Jannetty: I’ll be back in bigger ways than even I could imagine..

I admit I am a big Rockers fan… Do any tag teams remind you of Shawn Michaels and yourself today?

Marty Jannetty: I enjoy watching Kendricks and London.

Speaking of tag teams… What are your thoughts of the singles based wrestling of today? Seems even though there are some quality teams out there, that the spotlight goes to the singles division almost all of the time. Do you feel that tag teams could make wrestling more exciting again?

Marty Jannetty: Yes. I think that there is a good reason why they are skipping around tag team wrestling today… Your guess is as good as mine as to why that is though.

Are you and Shawn still close? Who else do you still keep in contact with from wrestling?

Marty Jannetty: Shawn and I talk weekly..I stay in touch very closely with Pat Tanaka…aka The Nipster!!!

With the passing of Bam Bam Bigelow… The rumblings of wrestler’s deaths are becoming loud again… And with the passing of so many stars… Do you think that wrestlers will ever get the message and take better care of themselves? And who’s fault is it… The wrestlers for doing the abuse or the promoters for pushing so hard?

Marty Jannetty: I really think it’s an asinine question when you ask who’s fault it is… Now that Mike Awesome has passed away, I’m sure it will get even bigger questioning…bottom line, it’s a tough sport…and it’s year round unlike any other tough sport..and, we are more visible to the public, which positive or negatively, it means that in public, you are at display or onstage 100% of your life..and that in itself brings a stress level up to beyond belief… but, we chose this life knowing the consequences that come with it..so…you take the good with the bad…and that’s all there is to that.

With the last few years being rough both personally and professionally, Do you regret anything or are you happy now?

Marty Jannetty: No… other than going to meet Barbara in NY, I have no regrets…life is grand.

Let’s change topics… What are your political views of Bush and Iraq? Feel free to elaborate…

Marty Jannetty: According to Mustafa “Damn” Shady, who is my political views adviser…Hillary , the next President is planning on putting an end to the Middle East crisis.

Who would you like to see as president in 2008? Hilary, Obama? McCain? Rudy? Someone else?

Marty Jannetty: I personally would vote for Mustafa “Big Pimpy” Shady…but, I don’t think he is gonna run…other than chasing hookers.

What do you consider yourself politically? Left? Right? Moderate?

Marty Jannetty: I’m pretty much ambidextrous, unless I spelled it wrong…

Why do you think so many celebrities are liberal?

Marty Jannetty: because they are free.

Speaking of celebrities… Did you have a celebrity crush growing up? Or even now?

Marty Jannetty: I use to want to touch Janet Jackson..then one night at the China Club in NY, I met and hung with her..and..um, well, next question please.

I tried to not ask the same questions everyone does… Thanks for taking time to answering any questions. One last question… Is there anything you want people to know or say to them?

Marty Jannetty: Yes, look me up on MySpace I’m under rocker mj there you will find where I’m touring, and what my Official website is gonna be..and, what Mustafa “Damn” Shady is up to next…so, from me Mustafa and my Misfitx Gat Pack (fanfriend-family)…much love to ya..and holla back when you should!!!!

Thanks for taking the time Marty…
